As a part of the effort to understand the issues, we strongly recommend that we visit the facility and interview as many stakeholders as possible before we move on to the SWOT analysis as described below.
Business Analyses and Assessments

After being provided what the original mission, goals, and objectives were, our approach is to develop an understanding of why they were not being met. In order to do that, we are typically provided the original business plan, the financial projections and the marketing plan. Once we have had an opportunity to interview as many stakeholders as possible, we then move on to the SWOT analysis as described below.
Our approach is to create a SWOT analysis matrix and work with the management staff to gain a better understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the project, program, business or service, and then identify the opportunities available in the market and the threats that may be encountered. It is considered a valuable business analysis tool and generally achieves meaningful results. Whether done formally or informally, it is always a part of the assessment that Mansfield does.
A great deal of consideration is given to what options our clients have available to them when faced with tough decisions. These decisions can range from shutting a program or service down to reorganizing it to bring in new money, new ideas and new talent. Mansfield provides an options analysis approach that is much like the matrix described in the SWOT analysis section above.
Planning for Change
When a change is going to take place - and it always does - Mansfield will work with the client to affect the change with as much ease as possible. Change, good or bad, is still change and many people are not comfortable when change occurs. Careful, sensitive and practical planning can make a significant difference in the newly desired outcome.
