Conclusion

Financing the “next new models” is not a whole lot different than the financing the “old models”, except that the new models – the new joint ventures – require more careful planning and more creative planning. The “we will build it, they will come” diagnostic imaging centers of the past are just that – “of the past”.

Today’s business strategies need to demonstrate:

  • Control of patient flow
  • Business relationships that are consistent with federal and state regulations and statutes
  • Assurances that insurance will provide reimbursement
  • Provision of excellent services
  • Satisfied customers
